UBT website - connectivity issues
Hi all,
Just a quick message:
Some (many?) may have experienced issues with connecting to the UBT website at: www.ukboincteam.org.uk recently.
This is due to some networking issues at the ISP and is being resolved, but some 6 days after it was first reported, issues have remained.
It is now being classified as a "priority" issue and hopefully in the next day or so, the problem will go away.
With sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused.
regards,
Tim

Have thought of it.UBT - Halifax--lad wrote:Not visit it that often at moment so not really noticed too much.
I think you should take a week off work and make a nice shiny new website![]()
But am awaiting to install new version of server OS in order to do some nice new stuff - just hadn't had a chance to re-install the server. Might get a chance this week-end to do the back-end stuff and then need to think about how to make the UBT a bit glossier.
Trouble is: I'm still too much of an admirer of basic HTML - which is browser independant and not requiring on any other "stuff" running in the background.
The one thing I have been thinking of is to remove the frames.......!
But they do work well and don't cause many people issues....!
regards,
Tim

Hi David,UBT - Halifax--lad wrote:Yes Kill the frames I hate them also.
Maybe if you put a post out there will be some volunteers from some of the people here to help you with doing a new siteI know I can't help in the design of it as don't know anything, but I can write any articles or things like that if needed.
Yup - Darren has already offered. But wanted to get the OS sorted first as otherwise, it might not be good enough to run some of teh stuff Darren was thinking about using....!
Some ideas were proposed but this was put on hold due to some "technical issues" that Dazza and I needed to sort out a month or two ago.
Hopefully, we can re-start this some time soon, once the OS is up and running. (I've just "burnt" the new OS "boot CDROM" so will be undertaking an initial upgrade in the next 24-48 hours....!)
Here's hoping it doesn't crash big-time.
regards,
Tim
