BOINCstats challenges

Hi all

Just a reminder:

UBT always take part in BOINCstats challenges...these are instigated by many and numerous teams from around the BOINC universe and as such at any one time there may be various BOINC projects that will benefit from an upswing in members crunching during the period of each event.

(I had been accidentally crunching it for FB purposes )

Hi Damien,

It's a pure mathematics project that has gone through a few iterations. Basically a general project looking for people to run their various applications on.

It started off as a calculator project, morphed into a graph analyser, briefly flirted with latin squares and is now developing algorithms for computer based logic engineering applications (discrete logic chips, CNC control etc.)

Windows 64 bit only and you need VC++ or else all tasks fail after 3 seconds.

It was having problems earlier in the week (bunkers building?) but should be back online now. I've just downloaded some new work.

OK - I'm in as well...

I've been trying to hit some milestones on WCG (nearing 1m credits) LHC and ODLK1 (both nearing 500k) and Asteroids (nearing 10m) so I'll switch my CPUs over to Gerasim for a while to help out a tad

Ended up a very comfortable third place and managed to pick up a couple of FB marathon points in the process so well worthwhile. Unfortunately, TSBT was one of the two teams that managed to beat us

And it seems that BOINCstats has only listed positions up to #69 - despite the claim that:

"Total number of users: 592"

Ah but I knew all about that chaps contribution and told him personally

I think Boincstats must have got confused over the number of participants, according to their general stats, only 401 users actually contributed to Gerasim during the past week and I bet more than a few of them weren't taking part.

Unlucky on seventh place, I thought I'd catch Scole when he stopped crunching with eight hours to go but he started up again and managed to hold on to second place, maybe I shouldn't have tried to run WEP at the same time? I was never going to catch Bryan though regardless!
