The gpu for the phenom is an ATI HD 3200 which is supported but it doesnt seem to be getting used at all - is this normal or am i missing something ?, cheers stu

SETI does currently support GPU's but unfortunately at this time only Nvidia chips are supported.stuh1980 wrote:doh i`m only running seti at the moment so no gpu yet !

However Milkyway@Home and Collatz do support ATI cards, but at the moment Milkyway is currently not giving out any work until they get new hardware, but Collatz is quite happily running.
If you want to get your GPU up and running then you can sign up for an account over there and in the preferences section (once you are logged into your account) you can say whether you want it to use CPU or GPU or even both. I'm not sure how long a CPU work unit takes, but on my ATI HD4850 it takes about 18mins per work unit.
Also if you want to join the project it is recommended to have BOINC version 6.10.10 which can detect ATI hardware and download the appropriate application. Just give one of us a shout if you want more information on getting it up and running :D
