WOW do these things fly, finished puting all of the parts together in just 2 hours, I'm starting to get the hang of this
Got mine running @ 3.25 ghz/ core.
It's a wonderful thing
Want another one now
Nice one Terry, glad to see your up and running on a nice new PC, I am still waiting for mine to be delivered
Never mind, I will have to wait a bit longer.

Hi Terry,
Another Q6600 user becomes dis-enchanted with every PC they ever saw before !!!
And then has their "flabber" totally "gasted" by the crunching power of a Quad !!!!
Guess now the one-up-man-ship is going to be:
Who can overclock their Q6600 the most.....(without it being totally fried!).
Well the new rig is in and running, obviously being run in gently by crunching WCG for the next 2 weeks
Full Spec if you want to know is
Antec 900 Case (4 fans)
Thermaltake 500 Watt PSU
Asus P5N32-e SLI Motherboard
2 Gigs DDR2 PC-6400 matched Ram
2x Nvidia 8600GT 512Mb Sli Graphic cards
2x Maxtor 250Gig SATA 11 HDD
DVD Multi Player
DVD Super Writemaster
Windows XP Pro
Not overclocking this baby (well not yet) untill its bedded in a bit
Ah good question Mr Melter, primarily because Sage Payrole is not compatible with Vista, and that was my excuse why I needed a new PC
On a more serious note, I run Vista Ultimate on an AMD machine and the scanner I have won't work with Vista so it was reasonable to get the next PC and put XP on it, at least I can use the scanner now!
Another good reason not to upgrade to Vista, or even to have Vista on a new PC if you're wanting to use your existing software/hardware with the new computer! :D
