This section is where you can post topics related to Challenges from other websites, such as Formula-BOINC, SETI-Germany and BOINCstats, as well as project challenges such as from WCG, PrimeGrid et al.
As a Team, we really want to engage as many team members with these challenges, as this gives us a great way of attracting more members to our Team...plus we get to show our strengths as a Team by (hopefully) doing well in each one.
...and just in time, I've seen this on the SETI@Home homepage:
Power Outage
Due to a planned day long power outage, which starts early on Wednesday, all servers will be down from the beginning of Tuesday's normal outage until early on Thursday.

So, everyone better "load up" their clients NOW, else there'll be spinning their wheels waiting for WU's to "appear"...
One way to do that is to change is to go to:
"Tools > computing preferences > network" tab in BOINC Manager and change the "Max additional work buffer" to say 3 or 4 days and by the end of the week chance it back to the setting it is now.

Just had a look and it shows the 'running' projects only. I've currently got 4 running including SETI and they all show.

I'd first check in "Advanced view" and see if you're already "attached" to the SETI project.
When in "Simple view", SETI should appear in the "Projects" drop down box....assuming you haven't deleted that project, in which case, just go to "Advanced view" and then go to "Tools" and "Add project..." then select "SETI@home" from the alphabetical list of projects.
Once you've got some WU's and your PC is crunching them, then they should appear in the upper "Tasks" drop down.
There are currently 42 UBT members involved, which is truly excellent and we make up the 2nd largest "Team" of members (after the hosts, SETI.Germany) !!

2) At present, after just 2 days of the event, Cancer group are in the lead...!!
The results for the SETI.Germany WOW event are now in, and I'd like to report on how the event finished as well as how the 45 members of UBT (who signed up to the event) managed.
In support terms, we provided the 2nd biggest team, (after the hosts SETI.Germany) and we made up approx 10% of the total member participation to the event, but we only produced around 1.65% of the credits (approx 1.5 million out of 90.5 million).
