I posted a message, any ideas why was it deleted

Also could I be No1 Folder? or do i need more computers? (seti account Derek Tweedie)

I have no idea why any message should have been deleted unless it was against any of the forum rules such as spamming or including links in your signature. Where did you post it and what was it about?

Also, I don't know what you mean about being 'No1 folder'? As far as I'm aware, the number of computers/credit/projects doesn't enter into anything here apart from bragging rights

Well if your message broke the rules then you'd expect it to be removed :P

Spamming and links are the normal ones and the ones I know about. I imagine there's also ones for respecting other members and language plus others, there should be a list somewhere?

The only reason I would delete a post is if it broke the usual forum rules (these rules are used by 99% of forums on the 'net) or if your post included a link to spam or you have a sig which is a link to spam. You certainly won't get deleted for saying you were going to be the no.1 folder on the team!

I don't recall deleting a post from 'bLaZeR666_uk' recently, so I don't know what happened there!

I have just checked the forum files and I can not see where anyone has deleted anything recently, apart from me and I can not remember deleting your post.
I am sure if it has been deleted it was an accident.

Just had a look at the UBT folding@home team page and can't see either bLaZeR666_uk or Derek Tweedie anywhere

but anyway Derek, by the looks of your machines over at seti, you're gonna do quite well, that's a nice set of CPUs you've got there and a handy bunch of GPUs too :thumbup:

We still have a UBT presence on F@H as I sometimes add to it using the PS3, but no one else seems to be 'doing' F@H at the moment.

Well im running BOINC with seti@home as my only project

Im currently 10th (Derek Tweedie) and Im gonna be number 1 - well when seti sort the servers out!

Plus a E2160 with 8800GS too! Both are waiting in reserve, I might retire the Atom N270 though??!!!

Aha, you're 10th by RAC with 4,385 and 1st is at 18,909.
You won't get there with just your CPUs, so you'll definitely need to use your GPUs but I don't know how well they'll perform, I've never crunched seti on GPUs.

Good luck with the chase though, it gets very addictive

Sorry, yes with average credit, my mistake. I would never get the top on total credit! well if I had a spare few years mind you I look at the top dude on the RAC Chris Oliver and he only has one i7 920 and a GTX 295, surely I can beat him?

It depends on how well that GTX295 can crunch though those work units. It is a powerful card, much more so then the 8800 series, and it has 2 gpu's in the one card. You might just be able to outpace him if all your PC's are on 24/7. But only one way to find out.... Charge!

and I have 2 9800GTX's in sli! and 2 8800GS in sli and Ive got a GTS240 and 2 9600gts on the way....its gonna be a WARM winter for me.

Just to say that my i7 rig is drawing 270watts constant!!! yikes

Got another q6600 (runs at 3.2ghz on air) and a e8500 (running at 3.4ghz) got another 8800gtx and a e2160 (awww) all ready to fire up. don't need any central heating on in my whole house my livingroom gets to 29c with the door closed! LOL thats some heat kicking out.
