The Ides of March Challenge
The Ides of March Challenge
Hi all,
Challengetime is coming up again on PG:
the latest challenge:
http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.p ... true#13978
begins in just over 3 days.
I'm gonna be dumping 14 cores and 26GB of ram into the challenge....maybe i'll find some primes! either way I hope to help bring UBT into the first page on the rankings, right now we just outside of it.... down in 40th place i think....
So i'm putting the call out, in the fine words of Ulysus:
To ME, my brothers!!!!....

It's about time I had a change from Yoyo so I'll shove in 6 cores as well!
Having said that what are we doing?
One post is pointing to this, which looks a bit non-boinc to me, or are we just doing 'Proth Prime Search (LLR)' which is my preference!

mikee....just the PPS LLR's
but don't forget its only wu's that you receive on / at the start of the challenge that count to your points..
To participate in the Challenge, please select only the Proth Prime Search (LLR) project in your PrimeGrid preferences section. The challenge will begin 15 March 2009 18:00 UTC and end 16 March 2009 18:00 UTC. Application builds are available for Linux 32 bit and Windows 32 bit. These applications will be sent to 64 bit clients. As with all LLR application projects, there is no advantage of 64 bit over 32 bit.
