20th June: Website now working again! - and after 21 years UBT is still here and we continue to crunch :-) (PS: I still have no idea where the UBT logo went !)
Having problems installing that new stick of memory? Found some great software or having issues with something? Or maybe want to chat about your PlayStation, X-Box, Nintendo, Sega, even your old Spectrum 48k....! Or maybe something you want to sell or acquire (computing related of course!). Let us know here...
For all you peeps stuck in the x86 Windows OS age, an ikkle bit of good news (if it don't snafu things )
Today we are happy to announce that Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) has released to manufacturing (RTM). Windows XP SP3 bits are now working their way through our manufacturing channels to be available to OEM and Enterprise customers.
We are also in the final stages of preparing for release to the web (i.e. you!) on April 29th, via Windows Update and the Microsoft Download Center. Online documentation for Windows XP SP3, such as Microsoft Knowledge Base articles and the Microsoft TechNet Windows XP TechCenter, will be updated then. For customers who use Windows XP at home, Windows XP SP3 Automatic Update distribution for users at home will begin in early summer.
It's been delayed from Windows Update for a while due to them finding a bug.
I wanted to update you on today’s planned release to web (RTW) (of XP SP3). In the last few days, we have uncovered a compatibility issue between Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) and Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1).
Whatever "Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS)" is
It will be a 70MB download from windows update.
And for the Windows XP x64 peeps, SP3 will be out in June (when they release Windows Server 2003 SP3)

MEH!
Link fixed, I blame Linux *ahem*
It works fine on the laptop, however just after I installed it my Keyboard on my Q6600 died *cry*.
So keep all Linux pootas at least 100FT away from the install.
As they will kill your keyboard in protest
