UBT Birthday - Logo competitions

Hi all,

As announced in the recent email sent to all members (and posted on the forum here: http://forum.ukboincteam.com/viewtopic.php?t=2529), there isn't much time left for entries to be received for either the Birthday logo or a new Team logo....

What we actually need are idea's - not masterpieces......so if "push came to shove" and a particular idea looks good, then I'll commission someone to do it properly....

So, please get whatever graphics program you have lurking on your PC or Mac and get drawing....

If you want to send your best efforts to me and NOT have it credited to you (for fear of embarrassment or similar), then email it to me....and I promise not to name you as the originator....

I've created a web page for the various logo's created for the team, both past and present.

Maybe someone can improve on something we have already....?

ATTENTION ATTENTION

Right you bunch of lazy fother muckers, I’ve seen no response in the forum regarding the logo competitions so I’m assuming not one of you has submitted an entry (unless you posted it Royal Mail in which case Tim should receive it by September)

As Tim pointed out, you don’t need to be an artist to have idea’s and if you don’t have the software or knowledge to develop your thoughts, then write them down,

Example:

Naked lady reclining on a chaise lounge wearing Union Jack socks with UBT tattooed above her belly button feeding grapes to a drooling frog.
Background colour pink with green spots, rays of sunshine from a window highlighting the team name.

Surely someone out there can type even if they can’t draw? As Tim said, he can have the idea turned into a graphic and it will be attributed to you.

My silly little animated graphic that Tim has used to turn the forum page into Times Square is purely to notify less frequent visitors to the forum of the Birthday weekend and is not being entered into the competition.

At the end of the day, the celebrations are meant to be fun, so help Tim get this off the ground (even if his incentive of 2 weeks in the Bahamas with Sandra Bullock for the winner doesn’t appeal to you) so get your bloomin fingers out as this is your team too.

This topic is being monitored by CCTV and any member found to be reading this and not submitting an entry or idea will be tied to a chair and subjected to Tim reading the full works of Shakespeare followed by me singing the full soundtrack to the Sound of Music.

Your choice, submit or suffer.

I really like the 7th design down, by UBT-JsF. I think it mixes the old banner style design with a modern circular twist and then has the web address across the bottom to finish it off. The red outline sets off the blue script just right and the latin phrasing is amusing!

Hi all,

I've uploaded all the latest creations submitted.

Strangely, they all appear to have been submitted by a Mr R. Froggi....

So, if anyone else "out there" fancies doodling and making a submission, before the competition closes, then get your thinking caps on NOW, coz there's only a couple of days to go...!

Not unless you learn to be consistent with your spelling! Logo #19 is fine but check 16 and 17.

Now go to the corner and write out 'staminer' 100 thymes

#19 is the incorrect spelling and I blame it on late nights slaving over a hot keyboard.

Tim obviously thought that rather than give me detention he would embarrass me instead

as that one was supposed to be omitted.

edit, the order has now been changed so #17 is the boo boo and was entered to test your observational skills .

Thanks for the comments Melter and Gary, but with 300+ views and 2 comments plus the lack of other entrants I think that makes the competition pretty much a non starter.

Still, at least it kept me away from those Frog prawn sites for a couple of weeks
