Not a proper project yet, lots of bugs (as only based on source code, project runs on a Windows server), no work, no decision on what it will do but account creation is open if anyone wishes to make an account
A Russian project or at least it will be when it starts

Yep, quite agree. Kept making me Afghani too, and switching me to Russian team.UBT - Halifax--lad wrote:Thats why I said there are plenty of bugs
Has anyone found a way to adjust the Resource share? I even tried translating the Rusian text but all I got was a small note at top of Project Prefs page saying Under Construction then a copy of Global Prefs.
Thanks Tim, yes it was late last night but its too early this morning now !!!!UBT - Timbo wrote:Yup - it's up there on the 1st post above:Timby wrote:I see this project has sort of started, can anyone enlighten us with the project URL????

Just had a poke around. Seems for most projects the 'account' page would be the base address +/home.php so for this one it would beRodEllery wrote:UBT - Halifax--lad wrote:

http://www.gerasim.boinc.ru/Gerasim/home.php - which, helpfully, is a blank page. So it seems it's not done yet.

Go to your account page
Change the URL to end with...
...users/viewProjectPrefs.aspx - managed to change the resource share to 100.
Global preference is ...viewGlobalPrefs.aspx but it's uneditable at the moment.

Easier alternative, just press Project Pref or Global pref links from your account, don't have to change URL thenUBT - Mikeejones wrote:I found a way to get to the page...

I was wondering why you said that as the page is all over the place and various ones can't be selected then I thought...
perhaps you're using IE.
Just tried it in IE and the page layout looks OK and you can indeed select the options from there.
Firefox layout is all pear-shaped but OK in IE - which is a bit of a pain for us Firefox users.

You can say that again! It was really fiddly just to find the right buttons to press to join the UK Boinc Team - but I got there in the end. Can't understand how it is so screwed up in Firefox if it works in IE. Are they really that different? I've never seen such a mess before with Firefox - although have found one or two little things which needed a tweak.UBT - Mikee wrote: Firefox layout is all pear-shaped but OK in IE - which is a bit of a pain for us Firefox users.

Possibly is 'no work left' or very close. Just tried to get some more - same result as you. Server says 210 unsent but they may have all ready gone (time lag - status not always up to date).

just a note to say that this project has now been added to BOINCstats.
Probably with the increased publicity comes increased competition
Project URL to join up is http://www.gerasim.boinc.ru/Gerasim/
Short WU's, seems to be plenty of them.

Put my pootas on this full time.
Just to help things on a little
Nice to see the "slow machine" do some work under 25 minutes
err 1 question though, What is this project about, as I can't find any info on the website, and some of the links were in Russian.
They must know I have been playing Red Alert 2 again

something to do with primes as far as i know
We need all the help we can get on this project as YKW's doing loads
The credits are tat but theres loads of work units and we are still number 1 UK and 7th in the world .
With a push for the next few days we could gain 6th quite easy .
The credits update at 10 pm
I have 4 computers on this and will be lucky to get 700 credits

You Shvine, tryin ta nick me crown huh? Still, I'm not complaining, putting me rigs on MW has boosted credits no end.
But be warned, should the Russians regroup I shall be watching how close you get to my rear end and mark my words, I'll scream and scream and scream until I'm sick if you get too close.
