Nice that I have managed to get enough of the new tasks fairly quickly.

Hi Penny
Very well done
Might be a while before the Gold badge comes into view...so, carry on as you are
WCG badges
If anyone else wants to earn WCG badges then here's the "how to" which I just found on the WCG website and this explains how to get a better badge:

WCG badges
If anyone else wants to earn WCG badges then here's the "how to" which I just found on the WCG website and this explains how to get a better badge:
So, if one is concentrating on any WCG project, earning badges doesn't appear to be about earning "points", it's more about the number of days of "computing time" spent on each sub-project.Bronze - 14 days
Silver - 45 days
Gold - 90 days
Ruby - 180 days
Emerald - 1 year
Sapphire - 2 years
Diamond - recognizing higher levels of contribution of 5, 10, 20, 50 and up to 100 years of computing time

So that was slightly under 2 months to go from bronze to silver, and a smidge less to get gold. Perhaps there might be more of that type of task being made available? Whatever, it's giving me a warm glow!!!

Well done Penny
There still seems to be a lot of work being done on the OpenPandemics project, I see a Ruby badge in your future

As predicted by "Mystic Mark" ...
"Dear UBT - PennyQ,
Congratulations, you've earned a Ruby badge for your contribution to OpenPandemics - COVID-19
Nov 29, 2020 - You just earned a Ruby badge for the contribution you've made to OpenPandemics - COVID-19. Thanks for your participation, and we look forward to your continued support!"
Didn't know about it until the WCG monthly digest email arrived - the usual Notices bit on BM is blank at the moment.

Re: Whoopee I got another WCG badge
Well done Penny...nice to see you "doing your bit" on WCG
To get to Emerald, you have to be crunching for a whole year, so I hope to see you post again in around another 180 days time - sometime around the end of May 2021
In the meantime, I'm sure you can celebrate another good achievement, in a suitable fashion
If you like a nice beer, this is very nice (£1.09 per bottle at ALDI):
