I found a second hand 2990wx so have swapped that in for my 1950x. That means that I have a 1950x 1st gen Threadripper available at a discounted team price, if any of you want it.
I'm sure you all know enough about hardware to go and read some reviews, but this is the 16 core / 32 thread part and its default clockspeed at full load (under good cooling) is around 3.7GHz, although it can vary.
The chip has done a fair amount of crunching, but also has lived under a good water cooled setup and never overclocked. I bought it new/retail at release, almost certainly from Scan (if not Scan, then it was Overclockers). It will have plenty of life left in it.
The lowest domestic sold ebay price for this of late was £295, so I'm happy to part with it for a UBT team member at £150 including postage. I still have the retail box and the required TR4 socket key.
Let me know if you're interested - first come first serve.
Cheers.
