SETI "Breakthrough Initiative"

Hi all,

Just sharing this press release on the Breakthrough Initiative, which will increase our search for ETI's, as both Green Bank (already started) and Parkes (as from Oct 2016) radio telescopes start producing data, some of which will be crunched via BOINC.

By looking at much more of the sky, (rather than just the bit that passes overhead at Arecibo) we are increasing our chances of actually finding some signals that indicate that there are "intelligent" lifeforms out there (coz as you know, "...there's bugger all down here on Earth")
