Sadly there are many sites today which were the scene of bloody battles in years gone by, where the people of today can stroll around without perhaps realising what had happened on that site before.
It's just a shame that humankind has not yet matured enough, despite all the years of conflict and suffering, to realise that war is futile and that through negotiation and compromise allows people to move on and to accept that there's a place for everybody on this planet, no matter what religion, creed or political standing you abide by.
That's my thought for the day
