 Just need to remember that you don't need the URL bits if you are going to post a link in the forum as it will put a click-able link in own its own, just need the URL tags if you want the link to have a name

Something extra for when you start to get into battles

The OGame battle simulator

Is a standalone program where you enter all your fleet info and all your enemy's fleet info, you then run the simulation which is pretty quick and it will produce a report to let you know if you will win the firefight (or as close as possible report)

Can even save your fleet info so that doesn't need to be constantly keyed in

Has some ace skins as well for the application, will check everyday you run it to see if any updates are available that may affect the results

Just down load the SpeedSim v0.9.4.2b file

I upgraded to the paid for version, like it alot better than all the Ads everywhere, checked my world last night at around 11pm and there was another fleet coming to wage war on me, the countdown was for 4hrs until they arrived.

Well I got out of the war and told them I wanted to join there alliance, well it worked now I'm in a alliance, and can concentrate building up my world.

I would have lost the battle as I only had 4 ships at the time and they had 12 coming

When you look at the stats page does that just show the universe you are in i.e Evil is the top player in mine and the cursed allience 4 out of top 5 places or is that all universes?

i was planning on sticking with this game until i know what im doing and then paying and joining the next univers when it starts, give me a fair chance i believe when you pay it only counts for one universe

From the ogame entry for Universe at wikicities:

Universe
From OGame Wiki
The Universe is the "world" in which the game takes place. There are many different universes. There are no inter-universe links, no interaction between two different universes can take place.

Each universe consists of 9 galaxies; each galaxy consists of 499 solar systems; each solar system consists of 15 Planets. Since each player can have up to 9 planets (the homeplanet and 8 colonies), this means that a universe can hold from 7,485 to 67,365 players. When it becomes full, a new universe is opened.

It is worth noting that the set of features available to players can be different in each universe. For example, at ogame.org Alliance Combat System is implemented only in Uni 5; in the rest of the universes it is currently not available

As it states that each universe is separate and doesn't interact with the others the statistics will refer only to the Universe that you are part of.

The wikicities glossary site for Ogame is at

http://ogame.wikicities.com/wiki/Glossary

I've found it a lot more useful than the help that comes with the game.

learnt very quickly in uni 2 so signed up for uni 17 (where i stand a fighting chance as people were not as well developed i am in an alliance with 96 members i am currently 3rd best player i am also 800th out of 13000 in the universe i also got a colony

how about you?

I am building up my technology the one thing I have learnt is most ships will go straight past your planet without even looking if you have no ships so I have none at all just a ton of planetary defences and shields, as soon as I'm ready prob another week or so my ships will start getting churned out

by UBT - Steve Taylor
when you get the message

somebody from cordinates was sighted near you planet

it means they have spied on you with an espionage probe if you have lots of defences and not many spare metal / crysal /deut they will not bother sending an attack fleet

Posted: Fri Apr 07, 2006 8:49 pm
by UBT - Halifax-lad
I have got loads of spare materials usually only use it every couple of days as I only log in prob once a day or once every 2 days, no one has taken a bite yet

yeah like i say your defences will put them off also you only get half of their resources when you attack someone also sending cargo ships to unprotected inactive players is so lucrative why bother attacking someone with defences

Posted: Fri Apr 07, 2006 8:58 pm
by UBT - Steve Taylor
heres an example i sent 4 cargo ships to an undefended inactive player and hey presto 16000 resources come back
