Congratulations

I got my first million just last week after god knows how many years, and thanks to the Collatz project I am already closing on my second million - I have approximately 3 more days of crunching and I should hit the two million mark.

Somebody told me that once the first million was out of the way the rest would seem easy, I was rather disinclined to believe it until I watched my scores mount up faster than I can read them.

Keep up the great work :)

you're getting a lot of errors on your 9800GT at GPUGrid. It would be much quicker if you could figure out what's going wrong and fix it.
And it would be even quicker if you were to run collatzc or primegrid PPS on your GPU instead of GPUGrid

I fully agree with the above  :)

PPS Sieve on PrimeGrid is giving me 1,800 credits for 38 mins work  :)

And I am a credit whore and proud

I'll look into that, ta!

Right, I've attached to Collatz & Primegrid. I've dumped GPUgrid, having just had another computation error after 13 hours processing! let's see what that does to the credit accumulation....

BTW, I've been looking on signature.ukboincteam.com to try and update my sig to match the projects I'm now running, but I can't see how to add the new ones... the "manage projects" tab show's what I've got now, but I'm unable to see how to add to them???

Primegrid looks to be working well for you Jeffers
Nice one

Flipping 'eck, that Primegrid certainly is a good source of credit!

My RAC has nearly trebled since I started crunching it, and it's still rising. At this rate Million no. 3 will be cracked in less than two months!

I'll also have that top 100 place in the crunchers table that I've been hankering for within the next couple of weeks, hopefully!

Considering the credits on offer with Primegrid PPS, it's worth running that as your primary GPU project with CollatzCon set as a backup GPU project.

Recent versions of boinc allow you to set a project share of 0%, which means that project won't do anything at all until the non 0% projects run out of work, then it will download a WU.
So, you could set Primegrid to 100% and CollatzCon to 0% and just let it run. CollatzCon would then take over if Primegrid runs out of WUs

Thanks for the advice

I've upgraded my Boinc to 6.10.58 (I was running 6.10.18) and changed the Collatz preference as suggested.

We'll see what that does to the credits....

Thanks to taking John's advice with Primegrid I've now hit the top 100 in the combined crunchers stats (at 99 this morning!) with an RAC that has quadrupled since I changed my projects.

Next million? Maybe within a month, at the current rate.... :D
