Latest BOINC Client Software Updates
Posted: Tue Jan 12, 2010 9:09 pm
Thought I'd just post that there are some Development versions of the Boinc Client software available, Windows & Linux versions were uploaded before Xmas, but the Mac OS X version was updated sometime today.
Go to http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php for a list of all available downloads.
I've just installed 6.10.28 for Mac & only noticed 1 thing, so far. The CPU benchmarks are now expressed like this:
Tue 12 Jan Running CPU benchmarks
Tue 12 Jan Suspending computation - running CPU benchmarks
Tue 12 Jan Benchmark results:
Tue 12 Jan Number of CPUs: 2
Tue 12 Jan 2962 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
Tue 12 Jan 6728 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU
Tue 12 Jan Resuming computation
(I deleted the time stamp to save page width)
It now calculates per CPU (core) rather than adding the total, it used to say e.g Whet 6000 & Dhry 14000.
Does anyone else use the developmental versions?
Cheers
