Hi all,

Overnight and this morning, I've sent out over 1,000 emails to EVERY member, the contents of which covered in a separate posting.


HOWEVER: IF your BOINC username is one of the following (see below), then the email BOUNCED......!

Which means either you've given up crunching and your old email address has lapsed (most likely) or you've entered the WRONG email address in your project profile.

In either case, you didn't get the email.....

So, please review the list as follows: (it's pretty long !)

So, IF you spot your name, goto the specific project named next to your username and review the email address you have used on that project....

oopsa, so velly velly sowwy, just checked my deleted emails and must have deleted it thinking it was the usual topic notification  :oops:

Checked email on QMC. It's correct. Received email at 09:40 today.

Have another look - the s and y are in the WRONG order....

(should be y and then s ???)

And you would have received the email anyway, coz all your other projects have the correct addy...which my database picked and merged correctly !!

(S' not easy merging 3,500 odd email addresses to ensure each email addy receives only one instance of the email !!)

The biggest problem with the email "sorting process" is removing all the "host unknown/user unknown/disabled accounts/etc" from the current list of email addy's on EACH project, now numbering more than 45...!


I've suggested to the great David P Anderson, to enable "email mailing lists" at least by the founders of each team, which would make contacting all the "opted-in" memebrs, much easier....

Been over a year since that suggestion and nowt happened yet...

Oh well....

I did the email "collection" from all of the various project sites on 19th May....as I wanted to send the email out w/c 21st May, but it got held up  :oops:

So, if you had "detached" from the project by that date, then you woudn't have been included.

Like a few select others, you were only sent the "proof" around 3pm yesterday....

So, I didn't send you the "pukka" email, as apart from a few minor tweaks, the essence of the email was the same.

And you usually get three emails coz you've got 3 a/c's on SETI...!
