Passing "UNITED KINGDOM" just got easier...

In case you hadn't noticed we're now 1.1 million credits closer to "UNITED KINGDOM" - one of their leading crunchers with over 1.1 million CPDN credits has defected to SCOTLAND'S SETI....!

see here

Shame the cruncher, "Iain Aikman" didn't join our Team, but even so, the effect is similar, as we don't have to crunch quite so many WU's in order to pass them and take 3rd place in UK .......!

And fortunately, Scotland's SETI are some distance behind us, so their gain won't affect us....!

And even better, he didn't join "AMD Users" as most of his farm uses AMD CPU's...!

regards,

Tim

Hi David,

Yup - just noticed Mike post. Didn't see it before - it was in the General BOINC section...!

Oh well,

We're closer all the same...!

Tim

Looks like we have gained from another "UNITED KINGDOM" defector.

Just seen the 10am stats and "United" have lost 74,000 credits and we've gained 86,000....

No names or other details yet - but now we'll be passing "UNITED" around the end of April....!

Tim

Its JimM who has 82872 credits who has joined us from United Kingdom, causing a narrowing of the gap between the two teams of over 165k.

Well spotted that man....!

So, we've caught up by around 1.25 million just because 2 members left "UNITED KINGDOM" (of whom one joined UBT).

Cause for a minor celeration methinks....

They have a Yahoo E-mail list similar to the one we started off with before we moved to this lovely board.

Still a long way to go if we ever want to overtake them on CPDN or BBC but overall is looking good

Yup - need quite a few to defect and join our "happy band" in order to ever have a chance of overtaking any of the higher ranked UK teams on an individual project basis.

But then again, by supporting all the projects, our Team has the best opportiunity to actually entice crunchers as they will know that by joining UBT, their hard-earned credits will be going to a worthy cause....!

Tim

CPDN and BBC CCE databases down for maintenance

With both the CPDN and BBC CCE databases not available due to maintenance the gap to United Kingdom should temporarily close very quickly as their RAC should drop to virtually zero.
