Hi Bob,

So, you've got one as well.....?

My, what a small world....

Question for you: How old is your ETX-70 and what software version is on it?....

I've have a few problems with mine but I'll be danged if I'm gonna pay £35+ for the CDROM (to update the software) and cable (ie #506 kit) in order to "tweak it".... :(

regards

Tim

I've got a magnifying glass, will that do?

Or if someone has a link to a Blue Peter site showing me how to make one from a loo roll carton and my compact makeup mirror then I'll be all set.

Just looked outside and there is a beautiful clear sky and a big fat shiny moon smiling at me.

Gary.

Well its a crystal clear sky down here in the SW, no evidence of the moons colour change as predicted, its just slowly dissapearing!!

Spoke too soon - "This page cannot be found" error !!!! KOD strikes again.

PS Above and to the right are two other bright objects. The further one from the Moon is Saturn. But you'll need a half decent scope to see it in all it's glory.

My Meade ETX-70 can just about make out the rings to each side, but my tripod is a bit wobbly, so it's not easy and it's bloomin' cold out there....
