UBT -Timbo  contacted us because of his interest participating in the upcoming gauntlet.   So here we are.

We are making preparations  for a International gauntlet.
We have done this before   but that was with seti Classic.  

This time we will run a Boinc Gauntlet.

We are stil working on Gauntlet  stats and rulez  
But  when we are ready to run the gauntlet.

You will be invited.

That's even easier then as we don't have to do anything other than each individual saying they want to be in the team.

Be interesting to see if the other team are there!

Yea the goal of  the gauntlet is

- To make contact with loads of other teams  international contacts
- To make a nice competition   even with your own team mates.
- And of course  Nice forum threads  to brag about  your team  or speculate about things..

I (on behalf of the Team) also look forward to joining with your Gauntlet Challenge - we have a good number of SETI members and hopefully, we can generate some good interest in both the Gauntlet as well as SETI....!

IIRC international teams of 20-30 are created. Computers are matched so that each team is against other teams with similar hardware and leagues are created. We all crunch SETI at the same time and the winners are the teams in each league that crunched the most - I think!
