And I was just thinking I'd leave the next 'move' to Mark - he's had a weekend off so he should be up to it!

But I know what you mean - we've 2 'kittens' (nearly 18 months old) who seem to think a keyboard is a great walkway. Though the mouse might have been more up their street.

No rest at all, very busy at the moment

Our cat likes to lay across the keyboard on the laptop, nice and warm and I think it works like those bead massage seat covers, relaxes her and sends her to sleep. she's very indignant when I move her off!

Snap! You settle down to catch up on a few things in the evening and one of ours will inevitably come to visit! It's not so bad when it's one of the youngsters, they're easy to move, usually onto the wife's lap, but we have an 8kg Maine Coon - and he doesn't take so kindly to being turfed off.

Not as big as his predecessor, our first Maine Coon who tipped the scales at 10kg!

He liked to jump at you, too, and many a day I was minding my own business when he'd leap from the settee arm or a kitchen surface and I'd suddenly find myself with a cat on my shoulder.

He did try his party-piece on my wife, but after she'd screamed at him a couple of times he learnt better! (Wife is petite - I used to tell her that Claude (the cat) weighed almost as much as her. )

Must admit it came as a surprise (shock) when he first started as a kitten (probably a mere 4 or 5kg)

Our current one is grey (silver, officially ). He has quite an attitude usually (dogs will cross the road in order to avoid confronting him - I once saw a Staffy pull his owner out of the way ), but doesn't mind grooming if he gets to lay across your lap while it's happening.

Of course, silver is MUCH better than grey, my mistake.

Most dogs realise that they wouldn't stand much chance against a cat anyway, even if it wasn't twice their size!
