20th June: Website now working again! - and after 21 years UBT is still here and we continue to crunch :-) (PS: I still have no idea where the UBT logo went !)
Thought a fourth game might add a little to the challenges, lets see how this one flys ....
Take any four letter word, replace any one letter, rearrange all four resultant letters into a new word. Must be a word in the English language, no abreviations or slang. Disputes via the Oxford Dictionary
Could be interesting! When my brother and I were kids our parents encouraged us to add a letter to the 3 letters on the end of car reg plates to try and make words - to keep us quiet on long car journeys! (Inevitably it led to arguiements, though  )
Very similar to my siblings and I, we had to create a word using all the letters on the car number plate or two words that contained them all. You were only allowed to add a letter if they were all consonants. Much easier now there's an extra letter!
Just for clarification, do you have to change a letter or could you just rearrange the existing ones to make a new word?
Yes, change a letter not rearrange existing ones. You can add the same letter if you want, no problem, but a letter needs to change. Then use the resulting four letters in any order you want to make the next word.
