That's because some of our big crunchers are doing SAP, its only temporary as soon as each SAP model is finished I'm sure SETI will be back on the agenda for the people doing SAP at this moment in time

I doubt we need worry ourselves about this.

We are still attracting new members to the SETI Team and with other projects either closing temporarily (Predictor and maybe SAP) or being offline (LHC, PrimeGrid) or just slow to provide WU's (various), so the fact that SETI pretty much has work available all the time allows our team members to continue crunching and building up their contribution to teh science.

Of course the same holds true for them.

But I think we have "strength in depth"....so I'm not too bothered. In 4 months, we've "caught up" around 1.6 million credits and we're only 390,000 behind now.

So, in a month's time, we'll see where we're at.... 8)

regards,

Tim

Looking at the number of hosts is not accurate at all, I had 150 hosts on SETI at one time but they were just duplicates of the same system, if you look at the list of computers for anyone you can tell which machines are the same one just listed over & over again

I just reported what shows on the Boinc Synergy site 74 hosts
click his name and they are all listed - 74 different PC's
with total credits for each - in decending order - all different.
Over 30 of them are active with a RAC over 40

That's why I have posted to tell you it is an inaccurate record of what is going on there, hosts are generally never accurate due to various different errors that occur with the BOINC server software and other glitches

Edit: forgot to say he was already a member and dropped off temporarily and has now come back part of there RAC was him already so it shouldn't make much difference at all

OK fair enough.
I just looked at the Seti site 37 computers made contact in the last 3 days.
If one of my computers in the past was duplicated, then only the last one made contact, until I merged tham to fix the problem.
He is the IT manager of a north london company. Lets agree that he has enough computers to raise Lookers  :pukeright:  score by 7000 a day.
We'll still pass them soon enough  :D  :D
