DENIS returning from its slumber?

Post by Woodles »

After being dead for the greater part of a year and having lost six months of user credits, DENIS MAY be coming back to life.

Credits will be restored where possible over the next few days and work may appear slowly (no funding yet)

Hi Mark

Yup - I saw their "broadcast" message via BM Notices...and it does look encouraging.

Will be interesting to see the mechanism about claiming "lost" credits...some sort of unique log in system via BOINCstats.com?

But good luck to them...as we need some smaller "peripheral type" projects to inject a bit more fun into the crunching aspect of it all ;-)

Personally speaking, I want the Belgian Beer Bottles, or NQueens, or Virtual Prairie projects to come back ;-) (mainly as I didn't get many credits on them the first time around !!)

I tried to sign up and it said I already had an account. Seems I did have an account as I was able to log into it but the account page is blank. Pretty sure I never did any tasks yet.

Hi Carl

My account page is being shown correctly...so, maybe there's an issue with your account?

Might be worth sending the admin a message?

That link went to user Chus Carro. Guessing that isn't you. lol

Weird, I clicked on the Your Account link on the bottom of that page and it took me to my actual account. I have no credits but I don't think I ever got around to doing any tasks at that project.

While there I switched from my old team and sent a friend request to you.

What's the link to attach to the project?

I think I had a few credits went missing, can't remember whether I was actively crunching it much at the time, guess I'll find out when/if the email comes through?

All seems fine for my account.

The sign up link is normally the home page so - https://denis.usj.es/ ... which is what your link re-directs to.

The one thing I do like about browsers is the ability to remember passwords esp to websites/accounts you don't use much.

The one thing I hate about browsers is the ability to remember passwords esp to websites/accounts you don't use much and your computer/hard drive crashes and you lose all your passwords and you cannot remember every one that you've used previously.

I didn't get a Friend Request from you - but I've just sent one back to you. Not sure why I didn't receive one...but no big deal.
