NEW BOINC Manager version 7.16.5

Hi all

A new version of BOINC Manager is now available:

Here are the "fixes"

If you are crunching tasks that use VBox, for the time being DO NOT UPGRADE to v6.x of VBox as it is known to not work with some projects (Cosmology for one). So, just download the version WITHOUT VBox....and you can keep using VBox v5.x :-)

I have found that there is a lot less in the Event log with this new version - doesn't seem to tell you anything useful now! (but that might just be my settings or something?)

Hi Penny

I upgraded to 7.16.5 last night (on one host) at a point when all my tasks had finished and none had re-started. So it was easy to shutdown, install the new version and restart.

I hadn't paid a lot of attention to the event log, especially at start up...but on this new version, there does seem to be more information displayed at least initially...

Many of the above are simply errors due to me resetting projects so that any dormant applications are deleted from my HDD which leaves more space for other tasks from other projects.

And I don't recall noticing the number of "concurrent jobs" being displayed in the log in earlier versions. (Though I could be wrong as I havn't paid much attention to these details in the last couple of versions).

Just make sure that "Show All Messages" is not being displayed on the Event Log "page". If this is shown, click on it to show all the messages.

Hi Both,

You can control which messages are displayed by "Options", "Event Log options" and clicking the boxes for messages you want to be displayed. Obviously, unticking them stops the messages appearing.

My (old) versions of Boinc already display the "Found app_config.xml" and "Your app_config.xml file refers to an unknown application" but the Max concurrent messages are new to me.
