The BBC has released details of the Computer Literacy Project, containing lots of TV programme recordings going back to the beginnings of the home computer industry, such as the BBC Model B.

Hi all

This might bring back memories for some - it's the 31st May 1987 edition of Micro File where they talk about email, and using modems (actually acoustic couplers in one instance !!!!).

Times really have changed - 31 yrs later and a mobile phone can send any data you want across the interweb to another mobile !!

I remember watching some of these. However, one of my favourite channels was .tv (aka dottv or the computer channel) I think it was channel 660 for a couple of years. 2 hours of 'live' stuff between 6 and 8 the recorded segments mostly to do with gaming. BBC Micro Model B with a whole 32K of RAM. OMG those were the days. Playing Elite. Getting my first double sided 80 Track 5 1/4 inch disk drive. 128K Solidisk sideways RAM. Burning my own EEPROMS. i miss them days
