It's certainly challenging. I think it might need an excursion on the way to the target, I can't find a route straight there at the moment....
Anyway, after checking the rules of word eligibility I can get a bit nearer.

The original rule said that the Oxford English dictionary was to be used to arbitrate any suspect word, so if it's in there it's OK (like Bligh was!)
And Leigh is in there, but as a name with Vivien Leigh, the actress.

I've always been interested in the written word, read and travell a lot and I do a lot of crosswords.

Usually though, it's a case of writing down the letters, changing one, sorting them into something that looks like it's pronounceable then checking to see if it's an actual word or not

As this version will likely be harder at times to reach the target there is one additional rule to limit the difficulty - any target word can never contain more than one, if any, of "Z", "X", "Q" or "J".

.... but since Keith has since abandoned us, I'm willing to give it a try if you are
