Timbo gets to 8 million - doubles his total in <40 days !

Hi all,

So, 2nd April 2014, after 10 years of crunching (on and quite a bit of "off"), I passed the 4 million credits mark.

Less than 40 days later, and I've now passed the 8 million mark

Jeez, I never knew GPU crunching would make such a huge difference....

The nice little 2Gb GTX560 has done pretty well....all things considered, while the twin GTX580 is now behaving itself....it's running quite a bit cooler, as I've under-clocked and under-voltaged it a little....so, it's not so much a room heater now.

I'll be off on my hols soon, so there'll be some down time coming up.....but it'll be all systems go, once I'm back and I crank out a few more WU's...

Tho' I somehow doubt I'll "rush" past....at least not yet....I've got another 8 million credits to get first....and that's just to draw level with your total now....

We'll see where I stand in maybe 3 months time....

Looks like I might have caught up with you.....and by the end of the June, I might have passed you and snuck into 81st, even 80th position :)

So, from 10th May to 27th June, which is 48 days, I've now "earned" another 8 million credits, doubling my 10th May total....even though I took a week or so "break" while I was in the Southern Hemisphere.

I'm getting to like this GPU crunching

Hi all,

In fact I've gone up 8 places from 82nd place to 74th in just 2 days !!
And up 15 places in a month....

Now, can I get in the Top 50 anytime soon?? For that I'll need to double my existing total of 18 million to something like 36 million.....this might take me a while

If you want to place a bet on when I do hit the Top 50, then have a guess.....closest "guesser" gets a prize (of my choosing)

[EDIT: Competition is now closed - as I got to 49th place on 26th July 2014]

Hi all,

All I can say is WOW !!

On 2nd April 2014, I was on 4 million credits.
By 10th May, I was on 8 million.

Now, it's 22nd July and I've passed the 28 million mark!!!!!!

I've climbed up to 59th place in the team and 360th in the UK.....and with various GPU's glowing and now an ASIC helping out on Bitcoin Campaign #3, the credits are rolling in nicely.

I'll never be #1, but (at last) I am now "doing my bit"
