(I've sent this somewhere after amending it - god knows where it went though! I don't have time to redo it so it'll have to go as it was!)
Now that we've succeeded in getting one of our targets we're now down to 2 long term ones. I was thinking that we should have a new short term third target, with good options for the next cruchathon.
Maybe a poll for the ones marked 'good'?
Here's my thoughts on the projects we participate in and which I think may be a good/poor option.

BBC Climate Change - ranking 16 - poor - long term project that requires long term, consistant computer usage.
BURP - Ranking 33 - poor - no consistant work
Chess960@Home - Ranking 12 - poor - no consistant work
Climate Prediction - Ranking 29 - poor - long term project that requires long term, consistant computer usage.
Einstein@Home - Ranking 48 - good - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, we're 3rd in the UK, work is consistant.
HashClash Ranking 24 - poor- no consistant work at the moment and we're all ready UK number 1
Leiden Classical - Ranking 24 - poor - no consistant work at the moment and we're all ready UK number 1. Account creation is disabled.
LHC@Home - Ranking 44 - poor - no consistant work at the moment.
Malaria Control - Ranking 15 - Medium- Consistant work at the moment and we're all ready UK number 1. Account creation is enabled at the moment but may be disabled soon. Good potential if we have more members in there.
Pirates@Home - Ranking 65 - poor - no consistant work at the moment.
Predictor@Home - Ranking 48 - good - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, we're 2nd in the UK, work is consistant. Account creation is enabled.
PrimeGrid - Ranking 34 - poor - no consistant work at the moment.
QMC@Home - Ranking 22 - Medium - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, we're 1st in the UK, work is consistant. Account creation is enabled, but still at Beta phase.
RALPH@Home - Ranking 32 - poor - no consistant work at the moment.
Rosetta@Home - Ranking 47 - good - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, we're 2nd in the UK, work is consistant. Account creation is enabled.
Seasonal Attribution - Ranking 32 - poor - long term project that requires long term, consistant computer usage. This project has fairly high computing requirements, including 1GB RAM
SETI@Home - Ranking 48 - good - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, we're 2nd in the UK, work is consistant. Account creation is enabled. But this is all ready a target for number 1 UK.
SETI@Home Beta - Ranking 33 - Medium - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, we're 1st in the UK, work is consistant. Account creation is enabled, but still a Beta project.
SIMAP - Ranking 30 - good - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, we're 2nd in the UK, work is consistant. Account creation is enabled.
SZTAKI Desktop Grid - Ranking 25 - currently - poor - no consistant work at the moment.
Tanpaku - Ranking 45 - poor - no consistant work at the moment.
uFluids - Ranking 16 - good - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, we're 1st in the UK, work is consistant. Account creation is enabled.
VTU@Home - Ranking 7 - poor - no consistant work at the moment. Beta project
World Community Grid - Ranking 112 - good - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, work is consistant. unfortumatly everyone is listed as 'international so no official UK ranking. Account creation is enabled.
XtremLab - Ranking 12 - good - UK ranking 2 - we've got good potential to rise high in the world rankings, work is consistant. Account creation is enabled.
