eOn http://eon.ices.utexas.edu/eon2/

Low to average credits, 5 to 15 minute WUs, currently 3rd in the UK

Primaboinca http://www.primaboinca.com/

Low to average credits, around 1 to 2 hour WUs, currently 2nd in the UK

Androinc http://androinc.net/

Average to High credits, around 1 to 2 hour WUs, currently 3rd in the UK, but about to drop to 4th.

I voted for simap because I'm already running that
But, i'd be up for Androinc too

I'm not running any of them at the moment so any is good for me. Voted for Androinc as it's our worse one at the moment (nothing to do with it giving the best credit, honest!  :D )

 Andronic for me because it's the only running project that UBT - mickyb is in pole position

Sure I'm going down when the big boys join in

I voted for Primaboinca because, just like John and Simap, I'm already running it.

As for Androinc, well I'm a bit uncertain about what the project is actually trying to do, all this business about cracking Motorola encryption codes sounds just a wee bit dodgy to me.  :?

Just 9 votes so far! Don't be shy guy's!

Just 9 forum members visited yesterday

I voted for Simap because it seems to be something useful that they are doing.

I shall not be joining this crunch, as it looks like Androic will be the project chosen, and, like Joshrandom, I have grave worries as to its real purpose.

Although I voted for Androic I must admit that I didn't realise what this was at the time - and now having looked a little more I, too, share the concerns previously expressed about the ethics (at the very least) of this project.

Can be a bit misleading as members that have revisited today get removed off Mondays list and put on today instead.

As an aside, I see we have our first ever Image rating! Young Keith (hgblade) has managed to post over 10,000 messages - nearly double 2nd place!

You're quite right Mikee, it can be a tad misleading but still, it's gone 11pm now and we've only had 11 members visit today, 2 of those are admins and 1 only just signed up.
Not stunning numbers from 800+ active members and 3800+ total team members.
Mind you, 35 have visited this month and 55 this year, that's not so bad

Do we want a rerun of the poll?

Was thinking of voting for eOn but choose SIMAP in the end because it seems to have similar aims to POEM and Rosetta which I am already running

I think it would be a good idea, because it seems that some of the team have changed their mind because of what Androic's real purpose my be.

Under the circumstances, I would also agree.

I'll go with that

I'll go along with all of that.

(Actually, any excuse to delay the start suits me - I had one motherboard die on me around Christmas, finally got round to looking for a replacement earlier in the week, only for my main system's motherboard to also die. Now I only have the system I'm using at the moment, and that has all my other work to do so BOINC is suspended.
HOWEVER .... tomorrow I take delivery of a new system, complete with i7 processor and Nvidia GTX570, PLUS to replace one of the dead boards a new AMD 6-core motherboard with new ATI graphics card   :D )

Hmm. I was thinking about this this afternoon (it was a long drive!). I was going to sugggest running the 2 winning projects as a dual crunch. Members could then choose whichever to run. However, that would dilute/mix the results and may not be that satisfactory.

Are we happy to null and void this poll then?

If so, suggestions for the rerun please.
