New Boinc Project - BioChemical Library

Post by Woodles »

Biochemical Library.

"BCL is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research in BCL. You can participate by downloading and running a free program on your computer."

Hosted by Vanderbilt university in Nashville.

https://boinc.vanderbilt.edu/bcl/index.php

John has already set up a team, WU's take ~9 - 15 minutes on this i7 for ~3 - 4.7 credits. An initial download of ~75M, ~6M download per WU.

Useful for 'filling in the holes' on multicore processors with only a few, long duration tasks to run.

Enjoy :D

It's not a new project, it's been around for about a year.
We had several members in UBT but the project reset everything in Feb this year, so I re-created the team.
Nice to see it up & running again

Ah, my mistake, I'd never seen or heard of it before!

As a side note, I've currently been my own wingman for nine out of 23 WUs!
