Prime Grid - Full Moon Challenge

This section is where you can post topics related to Challenges from other websites, such as Formula-BOINC, SETI-Germany and BOINCstats, as well as project challenges such as from WCG, PrimeGrid et al.

As a Team, we really want to engage as many team members with these challenges, as this gives us a great way of attracting more members to our Team...plus we get to show our strengths as a Team by (hopefully) doing well in each one.

PS: I have moved lots of topics into this section where they are relevant...as you can see, we've always been happy to take part in Challenges...and long may that continue ;-)

Could do with a change from POEM even if it just for a day!

(That's 7PM to us norms!)

Didn't know about this until today and I doubt there's much point me crunching for just ten hours ... especially if there's no WUs  :(

Maybe next time.

OK, we are still under the deluge of the start and are only just beginning to recover. Go ahead and let us have it. All complaints are well justified. :(

Playing around with settings did not show much improvement. However, as a last resort, stats have been halted. For the last 60 minutes now, we have seen markedly better performance. We hope you are experiencing the same on your end.

Stats will now be run every few hours and only under supervision. We know this is not ideal and apologize for the inconvenience.

Please keep posting your observations.
Validator is struggling to keep up...more realistically, it's slowly falling behind. We'll continue to work on this. All work returned before the deadline will be counted. It will just take time for the final results as we wait for the validator to catch up.
At the Conclusion of the Challenge

We kindly ask users "moving on" to ABORT their WU's instead of DETACHING, RESETTING, or PAUSING.

ABORTING WU's allows them to be recycled immediately; thus a much faster "clean up" to the end of an LLR Challenge. DETACHING, RESETTING, and PAUSING WU's causes them to remain in limbo until they EXPIRE. Therefore, we must wait until WU's expire to send them out to be completed.

Please consider either COMPLETING what's in the queue or ABORTING them. Thank you. :)
We won't know initial results for 3 hours after end as validator is running behind and stats are not being updated 'til later.

The stats were turned off about halfway through the challenge, they were the main reason for the server problems.  The ones you quoted are the stats as of "2010 07 26 04:39:34"  (See the "Last Update" time at the top of the stats page).

It might be some time before the final preliminary  :D stats are available, they are going to wait until the validator queue is empty before running the script again.

I'll run my stats script when they have run theirs, and post the results here.
