Optimised SZTAKI App

Post by UBT - Halifax-lad »

In case anyone has not noticed yet there is a optimised APP for SZTAKI from akosf, the current version is here http://eclient.tvn.hu/sdg11203.zip just do the same as the one you do with Einstein & SIMAP

Download the file, stop BOINC if SZTAKI is running, open up the BOINC file find the file for SZTAKI and put the downloaded Optimised App into the folder ensuring you overwrite the existing file.

I have not had a SZTAKI WU in a while am waiting for BOINC to get around to it so have not tried it myself but it does work according to the feedback in the forum

Note: This is Windows only

PS: This is just a copy of the SIMAP post couldn't be bothered to type out a new thread for this

PPS: Some very fast speed ups will be seen on this project with the optimised app

Nice one! I was wondering why I was taking so long on these compared with most other users! WU time dropped from 3000-4000 sec/WU to around 500 secs!

edit Things just hate me! Just to prove me wrong it works fine on the PC!

Not broke it akosf has taken it off the net for now as he wants to make sure it owrks correctly as he got some WU's that claimed 0 credit, so he is making sure his app works 1st, which it probally does seens as though SZTAKI was having this problem before

Be aware that version is not good at getting credits in all the time and as such you may end up getting some 0 credit WU's

Yeah - got a few 0 credits but the extra credits for being the lowest in the quorum more than make up for these.

Yeah I'm a credit hog and I don't care!

The best one to use is sdg11209

It is rated as the quickest app yet, not that you will get much use out of it over this weekend   Also as a new app is on its way out it could be made redundant very soon
