I'm new but not really

Post by madas91 »

Hello everyone, been in the team on and off for a while as pc's die and are reborn.
Finally have the time to look and read the forum as i'm recovering from an accident and have time a plenty on my hands now.
Will be good to co-ordinate my crunching a bit more to join in the challenges instead of plodding along with my own thing.

Cheers nice to feel welcome :)

only thing i have a problem with is my boinc name is simply "glen"

Is there any way to change this to madas91 as its definately easier to identify than one of hungreds of "glen"

i have changed the nickname in all my active projects hoping it would work but maybe i'm just impatient.

Hi Madas91/Glen and welcome to the forum

I hope the "accident" wasn't anything too serious and that you'll soon be on the mend

You just need to go to My Account on each project, click the other account info link and change your name.
That should show immediately at the project but may take some time to be reflected in the external stats sites.

Sorted then as i've done that, just my impatience with things updating.

Accident was serious but i got lucky. Happened on a ship full of skilled first aiders including me lmao. fractured T12 vertabrae into 5 pieces.
Bless morphine and helicopters is my only comment on it :)
6 months into my recovery and it seems so slowwwww

oh and i'll always "BEEP" when i go on holiday or through any Metal detectors.
can't wait to try it !!!

A warm welcome to the forum.

You might be disappointed with the metal detector. I`ve got some titanium implants in my brain, but the detectors never go off.  :(
