I currently only crunch the seti@home program (i don't know if my pc can handle any more) but i noticed today that the program running has changed from seti@home enhanced 6.03 to astropulse 4.36. This astropulse is much much larger than a normal seti work unit. Can someone explain to me what this is and why its so damn large

You can opt out from Astropulse if you wish.
Go to " your account", then "Seti@home preferences", and click Astropulse "no".

Read the entire article. Facinating. Not running SETI @ the moment, but will have to put it back on in the next few weeks to try one of these just to see what they run like.  8)
