Hi there.
If you look on here http://lunatics.at/index.php?module=Downloads;catd=20 it will show you which is for your cpu, then look on the other page and download the one with the same name. (sse, sse3 etc)

Or post up what cpu you are running and we can have a look.

Not really having a clue is there anything for these? (I know it was Intel only last time I did this)

Vista---AuthenticAMD AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ [x86 Family 15 Model 67 Stepping 3]

XP----AuthenticAMD AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ [x86 Family 15 Model 75 Stepping 2] [fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 3dnow mmx]

XP----AuthenticAMD AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+ [x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 1] [fpu tsc sse 3dnow mmx]

My remaining XP machines are Intel and I already have Chicken soup (the version where it worked everything out for you), I assume I do not need to change it?

GenuineIntel Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.40GHz [x86 Family 15 Model 6 Stepping 4] [fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 mmx]

GenuineIntel Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz [x86 Family 15 Model 4 Stepping 7] [fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 mmx]

GenuineIntel Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2050 @ 1.60GHz [x86 Family 6 Model 14 Stepping 8] [fpu tsc sse sse2 mmx]

First 2 will use the sse2-amd one.
The older XP 2200 should run on the SSE, i don't think that one is intel specific.

As above.
All the older XP (socket A) chips run the SSE.
The SSE2 is for the athlon 64 / X2 (socket 939 / 940)
Let me know how you get on.

Hi chaps, as I run 3 box's with Ubuntu 64bit apps all on AMD CPU's, any idea which one to use? cos I like the sound of this one "SETI@HOME for Linux 64 bit IA64 Multibeam compatible apps: (Performance gain ~ 35% compared to previous relase)" or would one just use the SSE2 or SSE3 version?
