Passing "UNITED KINGDOM" sweep-stake

Post by UBT - Timbo »

Hi all,

We're now just 130,00 credits behind "UNITED KINGDOM".

So, let's have a "sweep-stake" of:

"who can guess the exact hour when we FIRST pass them" - using Darren's webpage here:

http://www.ubtchase.icandothis.co.uk/?uk=1

as the only "official" stats page that is worth anything at all....!

(I say "first pass them", as they might suddenly get a big hit of CPDN credits which drops us back for maybe a couple of hours....!).

Your sweepstake entry must be made here, by posting a reply to this message and won't cost you anything.

The date and time of your "guess" post must be made before we officially overtake them.,.....so, no cheating please....

regards,

Tim

(The poll bit, is for a laugh - and as it isn't attributable to anyone, so it's NOT part of the sweep-stake).

so can I change my vote from April 29th - 10pm to April 30th - 12midnight please  :D  :D  :D

For the sweep-stake - pick any day and hour you like !!

Well, who said that as "Crunch Leader" one doesn't have some sort of power and influence (or was that effluence ??  :D )

But of course it relies on the SETI "quorum" and who to say that your WU's might arrive too late for credit, or even too early and none have been crunched by anyone else, so they are just "stuck" awaiting some more results...!

(Of course the really clever ones, will just contact their mate who crunches for "UNITED KINGDOM" and get them to defect just at the right time...bringing all their CPDN credits with them. Then having won all the prizes on offer (none actually) said defector then switches back after an hour or two....!. )

Tim

Been watching the 'approx pass time' and it's been getting earlier over the week so I've gone for the 8 o'clock Sunday Morning. All ready got 200 brownie points for services rendered - so can we have brownie points for correct guess?

Hi Mike,

Why not?? Am feeling generous as I'm still UOTD at Pirates !!   8).

So, hows about:

50 brownie points for "bang on"
25 brownie points for "nearest" (but not exactly).
1 brownie point for being so far away, it's a wonder you know what day it is !!

regards,

Tim

Hi David,

So, why did I think that you'd claim the single brownie point ??

Hmmmmm.......!!!!!!

Must come up with some kind of booby prize - maybe a night out with Jordan? She has booby's......

Tim

It's true you could have an effect on the time but not as much as some of the big CPDN players. If one of them were to leave (temporarily) it could set our overtake time back by months!
