Outage notice: migration to new server
The long awaited migration to a new server finally has a set date. The donation drive helped to acquire most of the funds needed for the new server, however, because of major problems with the load level we could not wait to get all the money, so Willy from BOINCstats got a loan and built the server anyway. It is currently being load tested. I still want to ask everyone to help repay the debt as fast as possible, so visit donation page if you can spare some money.

PrimeGrid's file uploads will be disabled in the evening Wednesday, 25th April in order to prepare for migration. New work should be issued until Thursday morning, when the server will be taken offline in order to move all the data (there is quite a lot of it). During the migration the website may or may not be available.

The outage is expected to last at least 48 hours, so please consider increasing work cache or attaching to an additional project temporarily. Please ignore workunit deadlines during the migration; work returned after the deadline will be credited.
