Unresponsive script

Post by hgblade »

I use Firefox for accessing the forum and recently (possibly since the last Firefox update, although I think this started before that) I've been getting an Unresponsive Script message occasionally. I initially thought it was another tab causing the problem as I've usually got several tabs open, but I rebooted yesterday and just opened the forum tab. This morning the message was there again.

Any suggestions?

I'm using Firefox version 30.0 and also have multiple tabs open but have never had this on the forum site. I've had it at other sites and just tend to ignore it 'Stop script'. Unless it's a script you want to run it doesn't seem to affect too much other than whatever is causing it to stop -  a slow running/slow loading gif file usually causes it for me.

Try https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/wa ... ive-script and see if that helps at all.

There's clearly something odd going on on my system. The mozilla support was of no help. I'm now accessing the forum on either Opera or IE, and get no problems with either - so I'll stick with that plan!
