New BOINC Manager

Post by UBT - Rick Horn »

There is a new BOINC Manager version available, 7-0-64
I downloaded this on my remaining two rigs yesterday. My laptop has a 32 bit cpu, and is running fine, but the 64 bit quad is not happy with the new BOINC software.
It ran overnight, but by late morning, the software "disappeared"! I could not get any reaction whatsoever, and went back to version 7-0-28.

I wonder if anyone else has tried the new version on a 64 bit rig?

I haven't put it on mine, Rick - and your experience seems like a good reason not to do so yet!!

Been using it for a week or so on a AMD 64 rig. All seems OK here.

I've just started using it on my Quad core PC, running Win XP Pro...

No issues thus far and I'll roll it out to a 2nd PC this afternoon, if I get a chance.

regards
Tim
