Free pond fish

Post by UBT_Grumpy Old Bloke »

My dad's gone into a care home and we're having to clear out his house in Rochester Kent before Tony Blair steals it. The pond has about two dozen goldfish of various colours, some natural bronze. It's late in the year to be moving them but needs must.

They're going free to people who can offer them a good home and I'm not expecting to shift them as a single lot. If you'd like some drop me a PM.

Cheers

I found the easiest way to give away stuff quickly is to use Freecycle. Free service - whoever, wants them picks them up. Log into http://freecycle.org  , if you're not all ready a member of Yahoo groups you'll have to set up an account, but there's nothing to it.

Once there, find a freecycle group near you, join it, follow easy instructions, and post your message. Include rough location and relevent details. Your email addy does NOT show on the main site, people reply through the site and the messages get relayed onto you.

Alas they have a "no pets" rule. Will be handy when we come to dispose of furniture though so the link's still good.

Forgot about that, but that normally appies to cats n dogs.

Wrexham Freecycle allows it even though 'no pets' policy exists. I placed an ad for 'kittens' - no probs. Although the moderator does say 'check the link' on the main site they still get posted up.

Post the ad anyway! The worst they can do is refuse it!

As ever I only RTFM after sending the ad but the first post to the board has to be approved by the moderators before it's uploaded so we'll see.

Thanks again.
