UBT - Timbo is UOTD at SAP
Hi all,
Sorry 'bout this, but I've just had the following email from SAP:
Congratulations!
You've been chosen as the climateprediction.net Seasonal Attribution Project user of the day!
Your profile will be featured on the climateprediction.net Seasonal Attribution Project website for the next 24 hours.
I guess this means the Team will get more even more exposure, more interest in the Team will result and we'll become #1 even faster.
Hope you can all live with that !!
regards,
Tim

Congrats man - you deserve it! :salute:
TBH: I've given up counting - mind you, it's not as many times as you think.....I just counted them =
Sztaki (06/03/06)
RALPH (27/03/06)
Leiden (31/03/06)
Pirates (27/04/06)
SETI (Beta) (26/07/06)
Malaria (15/08/06)
SAP (21/08/06)
- that's only 7....
OTOH: Some people never become UOTD at all, ever, so to have multiple "awards" seems grossly unfair, given the number of crunchers (according to BS, there's now 762,345 ), the number of BOINC projects (close to 30 now) and of course the 365 days in a year (assuming 1 UOTD per project per day !!).
Mental maths time: your chance of being a UOTD (on any project) is around 1 in 10,950 { 762,345 / 365*30 } (and assuming the same number of users per project (with less members, your chances of course are higher !!).
Even so, I should be counting my blessings I guess....!
regards
Tim
