Am I right in thinking that when people join CPDN that their points come with them? If so, we're about to do some overtaking. We should pass HispaSeti and boinc.sk.

Yep any CPDN credits are transferred to the new team a user joins, any other projects this doesn't happen

Yes he does - We've just had a "mega-cruncher" join the team at CPDN - username = "kbarlow" with 400,000 credits on CPDN.

Plus he has a few credits with LHC and QMC and BBC....!

I've already emailed him with a "Welcome" and with the suggestion that he use the same email address for all of the projects, so all his credits are combined....!

BUT: I think CPDN have changed their approach to credits, as so far, our CPDN team credit has not shown a 400,000 credit increase on the day, which is what you would expect if the credits were taken from "kbarlow's" old team ("UNITED KINGDOM") and applied to ours....!

I've left a msg in the CPDN project forum here:

to see if they have changed the awarding of team credits.....!

Ahh, it all becomes clear now

I'd seen "kbarlow" as a username turn up yesterday on one of the project sites - just as I was trawling each of the projects to get an uptodate listing of emaill addresses (to invite members to the 2nd Weekend Crunch").

Am keeping fingers very crossed....!

Yup - But the total UBT credits has NOT increased - it was at 2,468,000+ BEFORE "kbarlow" joined us.

By rights, it should now be 2,868,000+ !! And on the CPDN project page, it hasn't gone up either.

Hence my msg in the CPDN project forum.

Only possibility is that CPDN update their "total credit" stats maybe once a day, even though their "total membership" stats changes as people join....!

I've just been checking around a bit - when username "RodEllery" joined our team crunching for CPDN on 9th March, the team stats jumped up by around 57,000 on the 10th....! (His 48,629 and a few from other members...!)

Check out Boinc@denmark there credits just jumped massivly because of there new member maximus he did not have a previous team (not sure if this has a bearing) aloso seti germany has gone down by 49000 credits

Yes they only do credits twice a day and the last was about 9:00am so I think the next is at 10:00pm!

I seem to remember that it took a day for our credit total to drop.

The graphs show "axpayne" credits were debited on 7th Feb, but I think he actually departed on the 6th Feb (coz I emailed him to wish him well with his new team - I was going to thank him for his credit contribution, but he took them all with him !!!!!!!

).

Anways, I thought that "kbarlow" joined us yesterday, so have been waiting for the stats to update today....! Maybe they are slow...!

but you could have said your "prediction" before and saved me sweating ...I was getting all "wound up" as I had thought CPDN might have changed their policy on CPDN team members taking their credits with them when they left a team.

They update every 13 hours. When you are doing all this rubbish with the stats sites you tend to notice these things!
