Howdy
Hello all,
I joined UBT about a month ago, but have been too lazy until now to sign up to the forums (sorry!). I'm only a part time user, but every little helps eh? Currently I'm running the Einstein and MilkyWay projects. Used to run SETI on my old machine but it took years to finsih one work unit so switched to Einstein and now MilkyWay.
Am now running on an AMD X4 630 (@2.8Ghz) with an nVidia GTS250 - all more budget than performance but good enough for me
Happy to be a part of the team

With this team, about 4 years, but it must be a good 2 years before this since I started crunching. So it has to be around 6 years or so all together.Rhys wrote:thanks
how long have you been doing this number crunching for scientific benefit (amongst other projects)?
Doesn`t time fly when you`re enjoying yourself. :D

Welcome to the best team in the UK. May your stay be along one.
Need any help ? Then just ask there is always someone around to give advice.
Fancy a chat with fellow team members ?
The chat room at the top of the main forum page has the decorators in (been needed for some time).
So we have moved to MSN for a while.
Contact MELTER65 (Dave) through a PM as he is the key holder.
New comers must get the first round of drinks in, so get in early will be cheaper for you.....lol

All - Thanks for the warm welcome
Rick - I know what you mean. I signed up for BOINC in 2006, doesn't seem like 4 years has passed since then. My machine at that time wasn't all that quick and I didn't want to leave my machine on 24/7 (mainly because it would have exploded while I slept). Hence I never really got much credit and therefore give up. Finally restarted on January 31st this year.
Whilst I'm here, is there any particular project (or projects) that the team prefers its users to crunch? Or is it a free-for-all?
