How Much Snow ????

Post by Timby »

Just a thought, how much snow have you got and where in the UK are you.

I will start with a big fat ZERO for snow as of 21:00 Tuesday 5th January 2010 Just off the Somerset levels.

When and if we get snow I will post a picture.

Any one else got any good snaps to share ?

EDIT: 18:00

Well it looks like we had a heavy fall of snow which started around 04:00, woke up 06:00 and all was white    Checked my Sons School web site, School closed no real surprise there, 06:45 wake everyone up in the house to tell um they could have a lie in cos school was closed
08:00 Leave for work. 09:30 BIG snow storm 10:30 send staff home.

Pictures to follow !!

EDIT: 21:53

Here in Northamptonshire, we got maybe 1 inch this morning (tues) and they've forecast 6 inch for tonight and tomorrow morning.
No sign of it yet but I'll take some snaps if/when it turns up.

We got 6-8 inches before christmas, no photos though :?

edit
23:40 update
BAH
according to the local weather report, all the snow has bypassed Northamptonshire.
It's closed all the airports around us and caused havoc in cities to the north, south, east and west but nothing here :(

edit 2
bum
only a slight smattering of snow this morning, not worthy of a picture :(

We have about 8" of snow here in Sheffield. I haven't left the house today, but have got work in the morning, so we'll see how difficult it is to get out onto the main roads.

I haven't took any photo's personally but HERE is a page from the local BBC website showing local weather photos from Christmas 2009 :D

Northamptonshire here too, and I reckon we've got a fair amount of snow (Blisworth and central Northampton) though perhaps not as much as everyone else got (something for which I'm quite grateful!). Whereabouts-ish are you?

That lot before xmas was bad, I got stuck on a hill :D thankfully the roads have stayed mostly sane this time around although it's still so damn cold that none of it is thawing. We had about 5 minutes of very light snow earlier today.

West Yorkshire has had more than it`s fair share over the last few days.
Now nice and sunny, but bitterly cold.

I scraped most of the ice from the car this morning, and sprayed the windscreen with deicer.
The deicer then promptly froze to the screen.

Had to use warm water, then went to PC World to pick up my brand new Packard Bell iXtreme X5620 Quad.  :D
