ALL SYSTEMS ARE GO !!!
ALL SYSTEMS ARE GO !!!
The pre-stress on the server yesterday to the Prime Time Challenge (Reloaded) has shown a substantial improvement.
Therefore, the Challenge is GO GO GO for 28 Nov – 30 Nov.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the pre-stress.
If you wish to stay on till the start of the Challenge, please remember to lower your cache before 18:00 UTC today so you can optimize your Challenge score.
Only Wu's received after 18:00 UTC today [28/11/08] will count towards this Challenge.
Best of Luck in the Challenge and in finding primes!
Come on team lets move up that team listing site.

They don't go by credits for the LLR challenges now, they use a "prime score" method, so you don't have to wait for your wingman to return their result, for the challenge points to add up.UBT - Rick Horn wrote:Hope all pending credits are allowed in the 2 day crunch, according to Temujin`s stats I`ve earned 19 credits in the first 4 hours!
We will use the "prime score" method which is based on the n value (k*b^n-1) to score the challenge. The only difference is that the primary and double checker of a WU will receive the same score.
Therefore, each completed WU will earn a unique score based on its n value. The higher the n, the higher the score. This is different than BOINC cobblestones! A quorum of 2 is NOT needed to award Challenge score - i.e. no wingman. Therefore, each returned result will earn a Challenge score. Please note that if the result is eventually declared invalid, the score will be removed.
For details on how the score is calculated, please see this thread.

Sort of. To me it looks like they can't get enough work up. As soon as work is available it's downloaded in seconds.UBT - mickyb69 wrote:29/11/2008 18:19:14|PrimeGrid|Message from server: No work sent

I've managed to keep enough in the cache by manually updating and setting the cache to 1 days worth of work, but I reckon every man and his dog is doing the same which is why there's no work up!

Don't do what some plonker did on my train yesterday....
Demolished an entire bottle of the brand of vodie made in Warrington..
Took two police officeers to carry him unconcious off the train and two paramedics to bring him round..
What a James Hunt I hear you say, but true non the less ... .. .

I only drink till i can't see the screen
The worst 1 i ever had was when i was working on the taxi's.
3am in nuneaton a big bloke (about 6'6" and 20 stone) comes up to my taxi and gives me £30 to take him to a little village just outside rugby .
Snores all the way, gets him to his house and after 10 mins of shouting and prodding decide to wake his better 1/2 up. She came out ( About 5'3" 8 stone ) and kicked the living sh*t out of him on the back seat.
She then pulled him out of the car and slams the door, Waves to me and says thanks m8 you can go now. So i say can you just move his leg away from the back wheel ? So now its time to kick his arse till he rolls out of the way.
Bet he was sore in the morning.
£10 tip too lmfao

I've been working a lot of overtime recently so I wasn't going to be here for the start of the Challenge. Instructed the Daughter how to set up Boinc Manager to only get PG wu's from 6.05pm on Friday (I'd already set the wu options in my PG account)
So I've not looked at Boinc until this morning and everything is working perfectly! Uploading, reporting and downloading new work all happening automatically, keeping about 10hrs of work in the cache. I will turn off new work about 8am this morning, just before I go to bed!

You peeps forgetting that credits mean nowt in this challenge?
The awarded "points" are challenge points, that are based on the result from the workunit you have done.
No need for the 2nd person to complete the workunit to get your points.
However if the workunit you sent back is "wrong" you loose the points earned for it, once it has been validated.
Also don't forget although it ends at 18:00 tonight, they still keep sorting the scores out until all the workunits done during the challenge have been verified.
So although it ends tonight, it can take a week or so before the final scores are in, Due to some workunits being faulty and having to get sent to a 3rd user.
