OOh new pc, better get crunching ^_^ / fellie

Post by fellie »

Hi all at UBT, just joined yesterday, have crunched many a project since the grid / UD agent days ... ( I was on the 'team uk' team for a day or two, but they don't even have a forum / any community :S )

Had to buy a new pc recently, so I thought it rude not to continue the quest :)

Runing a little faster than my previous x2800, with  a dc2d 6750 now ( 2x 2.66 ) , 4gb ram .. both cores 100 %  :D

Im only with 4 projects currently ( as hopefully my sig shows ), if anyone feels another one or twenty as necessary, please say so and I will gladly join them :)

There's nothing wrong with the 4 you have going, each project has its own merits.
We occasionally have crunches where we ask for help on a certain project for a few days (a Riesel mini-crunch starts today) but other than that it really just comes down to what projects you want to run.

WCG do their stats slightly differently from most projects and I think you roughly divide your WCG points by 7 to get a boinc credit equivalent.

Err.....
that may be due to you being a new member, not sure, you'll have to wait for an admin to enlighten you

I think it would have come up on it`s own in a day or so anyway, but Tim will sort you out quicker.
There are some sections of the forum which are restricted, even to regular members, but not the areas that you were trying to access.

Regards, Rick.
