NEW SETI Beta WU's available
Hi all,
There's been some SETI Beta WU's made available in the last few hours - so there could be some more due soon.
We just need approx 3000 credits and we'll be #1 UK Team !
regards
Tim

Hi Jane,UBT - Janea wrote:I've been getting a good supply of Seti Beta WUs recently - but my BOINC has been so unreliable I've not actually finished one for a week or so.
EDIT: Just seen you've got a Gb of memory, (here: http://www.ufluids.net/show_host_detail ... stid=31781 so have edited this as original posting suggested you get some more memory....!
Are you running any other memory intensive programs while you are crunching?
The Athlon 1600+ is perhaps getting a bit long in the tooth - might be an idea to see if your motherboard can take a faster CPU....you can pick up an AMD Athlon XP 2200 socket A for around £11.50+p&p

Thanks. I'll get hubby to look into it. He's the PC guru.
This is a bit of a patched together PC at the moment - my old motherboard died on me, and being unable to afford a new one, we had to cannibalise an old obsolete PC from his work. It's not got as much room for expansion as the old one had and is not as good, but beggars can't be chosers. Certainly I have noticed that things definitely slow right down after it's been up for a day or two.

Looks like SETIBeta is back!
I can't do a huge amount of these as I'm still trying to do 2 CPDNs! There's a few thousand for anyone else who wants to help us get UK #1 spot - just 3000 to get them!

Got my first 'Astropulse' last night and am not happy!
http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/wo ... uid=413291 is the one I've got.
Results all over the place!
It's been running for 3 hours and is only at 2%. So that's 150 hours total estimated time. The other 3 'done' are at 10 minutes, 11 minutes and 112 minutes - credit granted = 0 - so not even a 'no consensus yet' flag!
Gonna 'suspend' this WU while I investigate/post on the forums later.
