Final credits "push" in 2021?
Hi all
I'm now concentrating on two projects in order to hit specific milestones, before the end of the calendar year.
On SiDock@home, I'm (currently) at 951,166 credits, with an aim of hitting 1 million by year end. And with about 280 credits per task, I need to complete about 174 tasks within 16 days. It should be easy, as each task takes about 8 hours...and I have 14 CPU's on the case...so, about 100 hours should see me there.
And on Collatz, right now, I'm at 5,940,238,684 credits and aiming for the 6 beeellion mark. With about 30,000 credits per task, I need to crunch just under 2,000 tasks within 16 days. Fortunately, I have a GTX1080i on one host which takes about 3 minutes per task. So, 2,000 tasks will take about 6,000 minutes, which is (coincidentally) also about 100 hours (4 and a bit days).
So, by about midnight on 19th December, (or early doors on the 20th) I should reach both targets...
What's anyone else's "aim"?
regards
Tim

I'm looking at ODLK and ODLK1 (Rakesearch)
ODLK should take ~27 days so looks like it might miss it .... but ODLK1 should only take 9 days so I can switch resource then and should get there on ODLK after all
GPUs are on Collatz just for the heat, no real target in mind.

Hi Mark
So, you're looking at hitting 10 mill' on ODLK? And 3 mill' on ODLK1?
That'd be a good milestone, esp on ODLK...which is hardly a high paying credits project.

Re: Final credits "push" in 2021?
Yep, 10 and 3.
ODLK had a problem a few months back where credits weren't getting added to the user total just to individual machines. If I sum up the individual totals of my hosts then I currently have 10,327,574 credits, I'm just making it 'official'. Although it's been slowed recently due to Ramanujan producing tasks again and distracting my main ODLK cruncher.

Re: Final credits "push" in 2021?
Hi all
Just over 2 days after my last post, and:
My SiDOcks credit total is now 971,576 - just 28,424 shy of my target. At 280 credits per task, that's about 100 tasks spread over 14 CPUs - that's about 7 tasks per CPU, with each taking maybe 8 hours - I'm on target to reach the target late on the 19th
On Collatz I now have 5,977,506,106 - 22,493,894 short. That's about 750 tasks ! At about 3 mins per task, that's about 38 hours worth - again target should be reached sometime late on the 19th
I'm then going to be bunkering lots of tasks, so they can be uploaded just after 1st January...Collatz has 14 day deadlines, so that's one favourite. Have to find a CPU-based project with long deadlines and plenty of tasks to buffer.
regards
Tim

Re: Final credits "push" in 2021?
Hi all
So, I just passed the 6 beeellion mark on Collatz
Now at 6,005,487,848 !!
I didn't quite hit the 1 million mark on SiDock when I thought I would...but I'm close at 991,939 and just need a few more tasks to hit my target.
Will try and hit the 1 million mark on a few of the other projects soon..., as long as they have work units available of course !
regards

Congratulations Tim
ODLK has ran out of work so I'm still showing as less than 10 million .... but it does mean that Rakesearch (ODLK1) will get it's boost earlier

Hi all
...and AT LAST, I get to the 1m mark on SiDock...now at 1,001,273.
Now to switch over to some other projects that are just under the 1m mark...but to get them to that milestone before year-end? Not sure I can do that...

Hi Mark and Penny
Thanks for your messages.
It still feels good to reach a milestone on some projects...and even though I don't collect badges, it is at least nice to know that my small collection of CPUs/GPUs can at least make a small impression on the stats !
